Hi,

Just a quick apology to all who have tried leaving a comment on my blog over the past 24 hrs. Sorry I made a Boo Boo.

I was so excited yesterday to have created my first video as part of the Barry Wells’ challenge.

I posted it on youtube and added it to my blog, I was so proud of myself and then disaster struck – I received an email from Barry informing me of an error page that he received when trying to leave a comment. (Barrys’ really helpful like that)

The trouble is I’ve been moving at a hundred miles an hour over the past few weeks updating everything and my big mistake was not checking what I changed actually worked. DOH

Under normal circumstances my initial reaction would of been OMG an error page! AAAAAAARGH I don’t know anything about error pages what am I going to do? But not this time OH NO ! I was on such a high after completing the video a little thing like an error page wasn’t gonna get me down.

It then dawned on me that I really didn’t know where to start trying to solve the problem and yet I knew that I would be able to do it I just didn’t know how at that moment in time. So while I thought about it (and waited for my light bulb moment) I popped over to Facebook and left a comment about my predicament. No sooner had I done that I received another email advising me it may be my hosting that was causing the problem (I sent in a quick support ticket and then I flicked back to Facebook) and literally in the two minutes I’d been away the very lovely and very helpful Hilary Dickinson had left a comment ( That she’d be happy to take a look and see if she could locate the problem) and although I didn’t take up Hilarys’ offer (I was determined that I would sort this out myself) I was extremely grateful.

Anyway to cut a long story short and get to the point (IE lessons learnt) It turned out it wasn’t the hosting it was me (it took me 24hrs to sort it) but basically I had added a plugin to prevent spam comments, and boy did it work I never dreamed it would be that effective and stop everyone from commenting LOL – It’s gone now.

So lessons Learned:-

1) Always check and double check that any changes have the desired effect and work effectively.

2) There is nothing that you can’t do if you put your mind to it.

3) The world is full of wonderful people and I’m very fortunate to be a part of a community that really cares and no matter what life throws at me there is always someone who’s been there done that and is willing to show the way .

4) It feels really good to be grateful

So here is a big thank you to all you wonderful people (and you know who you are) from one very happy bunny.

With Love

Michelle xxx

P.S Don’t forget to hop over to Barrys’ Blog and check out all the wonderful video’s that have been made for the challenge – You never know what you may learn. Click here

Hi & welcome back,

It’s been a while, I don’t know where to start

I must appologise, since my last post I’ve let life get in the way, which I must admit was really easy (I’ve moved home twice and country once) but that’s no excuse cos I’m not making excuses.

I suffered from total analysis paralysis, information overload whatever you want to call it and it was just so easy to let my fears take over.

Oh boy there was always a solid reason why I couldn’t focus on the blog, always something else more important, I’m sure you know what it’s like – you must of been there at one time or another. Maybe you’re there now! Who knows.

Fortunately things have changed for me I’m now facing my fears and learning new things at an incredible rate, all because I am now aligned with a mentor and a fantastic community that I can relate to, I feel so lucky to be part of this wonderful group.

Anyway, to my fears!

Sally Neill held her first live webinar training event last Thursday well the Thursday before oooops I should have posted before now !!! ( Sorry Sally) and I was fortunate enough to be able to attend. It was a great webinar, Sally has so much knowledge and she delivers it in a no nonsense way that you can’t help but learn, she just keeps giving and giving and I’m loving it.

One of my biggest fears has always been speaking live and/or being recorded, to the point where I don’t even leave messages on answer machines. (proper wuss)

The problem being my accent, I sound like a cross between Rob Benwell & John Thornhill (the female version of course). LOL

Sally did a fantastic job with the webinar and as it came to a close it was the usual any question, raise your hand, I didn’t miss a beat up it went. God knows what I was thinking. I was just going to congratulate Sally and say hi well done. Well did I? OH No what did I do? I bobbled on like an idiot and didn’t even think about the fact it was being taped until afterwards. ( OMG totally traumatised and that was just Sally ) LOL.

The thing is I listened to the replay and you know what it wasn’t that bad. It sound absolutely nothing like me and I’ve done it now – How good is that? yahoo.

That leads me onto my next fear creating videos- Barry Wells has created a challenge on his blog and although I didn’t have a clue with his help and encouragement I have created my first video uploaded it to youtube and facebook and added it here.

Although it’s not Camtasia and may not be the best it’s mine and I’m really proud of it.

From now on I will be posting regular updates with all the new things I’m learning as the weeks go on and as soon as I’ve mastered Camtasia, video could be a regular thing.

Hope you Enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed making it – if you do leave a comment and let me know

Talk soon
